State Departments plan on joining new efforts to find the plane of Amelia Earhart, 75 years later after she mysteriously disappeared over the South Pacific. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood will take part in a ceremony Tuesday morning to announce the public-private search for Amelia Earhart's plane. The half million dollar search, financed by private funds, will begin this July. The key area of where they will be searching is in the Pacific atoll of Nikumaror between Hawaii and Australia. In 2010 bone fragments where found on a island that many believe might be from Amelia Earhart. Other artifacts have also been recovered that suggests the two might have lived for days or weeks after landing on a reef.
